standard
seam
width
settings

Disengage
upper
knife
as
described
on

33.
Remove
the
waste
box
(see
page
14>.
Note:
The
required
seam
width
is
set
with
adjusting
knob
35.
The
graduations
on
the
seamwidth
adjusting
knob
range
from
2.5
to
5.
Set
the
upper
knife
at
its
basic
position
again
and
close
the
looper
cover.
The
seamwidth
settings
on
adjusting
knob
35
(2.5
to
5
mm)
only
apply
when
needle
C
is
used.
When
needle
B
is
used,
the
setting
is
increased
by
2.2
mm
to
4.7
to
7.2
mm.
For
needle
A
the
set
setting
is
increased
by
4
mm
to
6.5
to
9
mm
