  If an alarm is activated on your Phcbi Farm Equipment, ensure the chamber temperature and CO2/O2 gas density match their set values. Verify the CO2 gas regulator's secondary pressure is between 0.03 MPa(G) and 0.1 MPa(G), and the N2 or O2 gas regulator's secondary pressure is between 0.05 MPa(G) and 0.1 MPa(G). Check the gas tube connections and ensure the high limit alarm temperature is at least 1°C higher than the chamber set temperature. Also, check for gas leaks, an empty gas cylinder (replace if the primary pressure is 3.8 MPa(G) or lower), or electromagnetic interference. Waiting may clear the alarm automatically if caused by temporary fluctuations.

Inspect gas connectors for leaks due to deterioration of the gas tube, replacing the tube annually. Also, inspect the packing seal for the inner door or gastight split doors for defects, and ensure the access hole is closed.

  If the gas density in your Phcbi Farm Equipment is slow to recover, and the gas pressure is normal, the HEPA filter may be clogged (contact your sales representative or agent). Also, check if there is little gas remaining in the gas cylinder, ensure the CO2 gas regulator's secondary pressure is at 0.03 MPa(G)~0.1 MPa(G), and the N2 gas (O2 gas) regulator's secondary pressure is at 0.05 MPa(G)~0.1 MPa(G). Verify the gas tube isn't blocked, the duct is securely attached to the 4 points hooks, and the fan is pushed all the way to the motor shaft.

  If H2O2 decontamination cannot be performed on your Phcbi Farm Equipment, check if the optional MCO-170UVS, the MCO-HP, the optional MCO-170HB and the MCO-170EL are installed. Verify that the UV lamp is not burned out, as this prevents H2O2 decontamination. Also, ensure the H2O2 generator cable is properly connected and that the entire bottle of the H2O2 reagent has not been used.

  During the H2O2 decontamination cycle, if “Err34: H2O2 Volume” is activated on your Phcbi Farm Equipment, ensure the duct is securely attached to the 4 points hooks, and the fan is pushed all the way to the motor shaft. Also, verify the H2O2 generator is securely installed with its 2 pins in the 2 holes at the left bottom of the duct. If the total operating time of the H2O2 generator exceeds 5,000 hours, replace it.

  If the outer door of your Phcbi Farm Equipment does not open, and the optional MCO-170EL is installed, the electric lock may be engaged when the power switch is OFF. Turn the power switch ON or use the accessory unlock key to override the electric lock. Note that the outer door is also electrically locked during decontamination.

Why is gas not being injected into Phcbi MCO-170M?

  The CO2/O2 control method for Phcbi Farm Equipment is the ON-OFF method. Gas is intermittently injected as the gas density in the chamber approaches the set value. Injections may be stopped for periods of approximately 15 seconds, but that is not an error. The gas is not injected until the temperature of the CO2 sensor becomes stable enough approx. 1 hour, after turning ON the power switch or recovering from power failure.
