Overview

This document provides an instruction manual for the PHI VILLA Electric Heater, covering models AH-FP-30F, AH-FP-36F, AH-FP-40F, and AH-FP-48F. It outlines important safety instructions, installation procedures for both built-in wall and wall-hanging configurations, and operational guidelines for the heater, including its control panel and remote control functions, as well as maintenance tips.

The electric heater is designed to provide warmth and a visual flame effect for indoor spaces. It offers versatile installation options, allowing users to either integrate it seamlessly into a wall or mount it on a wall, depending on their preference and space requirements. The heater is equipped with a control panel located on its front lower side, as well as a remote control, providing convenient ways to operate its various functions.

Function Description:

The primary function of the PHI VILLA Electric Heater is to generate heat for indoor environments. It also features a decorative flame effect, which can be customized in terms of color and intensity, enhancing the ambiance of a room. The heater is designed to operate on a 120V AC power supply at 60Hz, with a power output of 1500W.

Usage Features:

The heater offers several user-friendly features accessible through both its control panel and remote control:

  • Power On/Off: Users can turn the fireplace ON or OFF with a simple button press. When turning OFF, the fan continues to operate for 60 seconds without heat to cool down the unit.
  • Flame Color Adjustment: The flame color can be changed to orange, orange and blue, or blue, allowing users to match the ambiance to their preference. This feature is available on both the control panel and the remote control.
  • Flame Effect Intensity: The heater provides six levels of flame intensity, from 6 (highest) down to 1 (lowest). Users can cycle through these intensities to achieve the desired visual effect. Pressing the button again after the lowest intensity will stop the flame effect.
  • Temperature Setting: Users can set a desired ambient temperature. The heater will automatically stop heating once this temperature is reached and will resume heating if the ambient temperature drops 2°C below the set point. This intelligent heating mechanism helps maintain a comfortable environment and can contribute to energy efficiency.
  • Temperature Scale Toggle: The remote control allows users to switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) temperature scales, with an LED indicator showing the current setting.
  • Timer Function: The remote control includes a timer function, allowing users to set the heater to operate for a specific duration, ranging from 1 to 8 hours. If no timer is set ('0H'), the heater will run continuously. This feature is useful for setting the heater to turn off automatically after a certain period, preventing unnecessary operation.

Installation Features:

The PHI VILLA Electric Heater offers two distinct installation methods:

  • Type 1: Built-in Wall: This method allows the heater to be recessed into a wall, providing a flush and integrated look.
    • Clearance: A minimum of 0.5 inches of spacing is required from the rear of the unit to the wall for proper ventilation.
    • Wall Opening Dimensions: Users must confirm the correct wall opening size before installation, with specific dimensions provided for each model (AH-FP-30F, AH-FP-36F, AH-FP-40F, AH-FP-48F) to ensure a precise fit.
    • Installation Steps: The process involves removing the front cover, securing the unit to the back wall using screws, and then replacing the front cover.
  • Type 2: Wall Hanging: This method allows the heater to be mounted directly onto a wall, offering flexibility in placement.
    • Location Selection: Users need to select a suitable wall location and mark drill holes using a level to ensure the heater is mounted properly and evenly.
    • Drilling and Anchoring: Four holes of specific diameter and depth must be drilled. Wall anchors are supplied for holes that do not hit a stud, which are then gently tapped into place until flush with the wall surface.
    • Mounting Bracket Installation: A mounting bracket is secured to the wall anchors using screws and washers.
    • Heater Mounting: The heater is then mounted onto the wall using the keyhole slots of the metal bracket at its back, ensuring the mounting bracket is fully engaged.
    • Securing and Finishing: The mounting bracket is further secured to the heater with additional screws, and finally, the front cover is replaced and secured.

Maintenance Features:

Proper maintenance is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of the electric heater. The manual outlines several key maintenance guidelines:

  • Safety First: Before attempting any maintenance or cleaning, it is imperative to completely disconnect power to the unit to reduce the risk of fire or electric shock. Maintenance should only be performed by a certified technician if complex issues arise.
  • Cleaning Preparation: Before cleaning any parts of the fireplace, users must turn off all controls and unplug the unit from the power source. It is also advised to wait until the unit has completely cooled down before starting any cleaning.
  • Glass Panel Cleaning: Dust can be removed from the glass panel with a clean, dry cloth. Fingerprints and other marks can be cleaned using a clean, damp cloth. Abrasive cleaners or spray liquids should not be used on the glass door surfaces, as they may cause damage.
  • Metal Parts Cleaning: Metal and metal painted parts should only be cleaned with a clean, damp cloth. Similar to the glass panel, abrasive cleaners or spray liquids are not recommended for these surfaces.
  • Off-Season Storage: For storage during the off-season, the heater should be kept in a dry place to protect it from moisture and potential damage.
  • Supply Cord Replacement: If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid any hazards.
  • Remote Control Battery Replacement: The remote control uses a CR2025 battery. Instructions are provided to guide users on how to replace the battery by following the diagram on the back of the remote handset.

Overall, the PHI VILLA Electric Heater is designed for ease of use, flexible installation, and straightforward maintenance, providing a reliable and aesthetically pleasing heating solution for homes.
