TUNING
You
tune
to
a
transmitter
with
tuning
buttons
A
or
V.
The
frequency
indication
on
the
display
makes
steps
of
1
kHz
on
MW
and
LW
and
of
25
kHz
on
FM.
If
you
briefly
depress
one
of
the
buttons
A
or
V,
the
frequency
goes
one
step
up
or
down.
If
you
continue
to
depress
one
of
the
buttons,
the
band
is
searched
quickly
after
1
second
until
you
release
the
button.
When
the
highest
frequency
is
reached
(e.g.
108
MHz
on
U-FM)
the
radio
automatically
switches
over
to
the
lowest
frequency
(87,50
MHz)
and
vice
versa.
Additional
possibility
for
MCC
programming
in
order
to
reach
the
vicinity
of
the
desired
transmitter
frequency
very
fast
you
depress
both
buttons
A
and
V
simultaneously.
Accurate
tuning
is
achieved
by
repeated
brief
depressing
of
either
A
or
V
buttons.
_
If
you
continue
to
depress
both
buttons
simultaneously
the
entire
U-FM
band
is
searched
within
6
seconds.
Above
the
highest
frequency
(108
MHz)
and
below
the
lowest
frequency
(87,50
MHz)
the
display
shows
'0000’.
Fast
tuning
stops
for
1
second
at
0000’
during
continuous
depressing.
Note:
This
0000’
should
be
programmed
at
those
memory
locations
for
which
no
frequencies
of
the
same
programme
are
available.
b)
SEARCH
Automatic
searching
and
tuning
into
transmitters
on
all
wave
ranges
can
be
operated
in
two
ways:
By
means
of
the
co-supplied
switch
(remote
control)
which
can
be
mounted
within
immediate
reach.
By
simultaneously
depressing
buttons
A
and
V.
The
radio
searches
for
the
first
acceptable
transmitter.
During
search
the
audio
signal
is
Suppressed
so
as
to
avoid
annoying
noise.
The
search
action
starts
from
the
frequency
to
which
the
radio
is
set.
The
frequencies
run
up
in
steps
of
50
kHz
for
FM
and
9
kHz
for
LW
and
MW.
Ifthe
programme
of
the
new
transmitter
is
suitable,
depress
the
button(s)
once
again
and
the
search
action
is
restarted.
When
the
highest
frequency
is
reached
the
radio
automatically
switches
to
the
lowest
frequency
and
continues
the
search
action.
Transmitter
search
takes
place
at
two
sensitivity
levels.
The
search
action
starts
at
the
low
sensitivity
level
so
that
only
strong
transmitters
will
be
tuned
in
to.
It
may
occur
that
none
of
the
transmitters
offers
a
programme
desired
by
you.
If
all
the
frequencies
of
the
band
ENGLISH
have
been
scanned
after
a
number
of
search
actions,
the
radio
automatically
switches
to
the
high
sensitivity
level.
The
frequency
band
is
scanned
once
again.
Now
both
strong
and
weak
transmitters
will
be
tuned
in
to.
The
radio
remains
at
this
level
until
another
operation
is
performed,
like
depressing
a
preset
(P-button),
depressing
a
U-FM,
M
or
L
button
or
one
of
the
tuning
buttons
(A
or
V),
or
when
the
radio
is
switched
off.
Remark:
If
the
radio
is
in
the
INFO
mode
(only
in
case
of
MCC
or
U-FM),
only
transmitters
with
traffic
information
are
selected
during
a
search
action.
