keys
on
the
remote
contral

the
‘DCC
300’.

digit

select
directely
tracknumbers
(only
functional
when
using
a
DCC’).
STANDBY
To
select
the
‘STANDBY’
mode.
Batteries
e
Open
the
battery
compartment
and
insert
two
batteries
as
indicated,
type
RO3,
UM-4
or
AAA-ceils.
e
Remove
the
batteries
when
they
have
run
down
or
when
they
will
not
be
used
again
for
a
long
period.
Maintenance
®
Pull
the
mains
plug
out.
e
Clean
the
‘DCC
300’
with
a
damp
cloth.
e
Clean
reflecting
surfaces
(e.g.
the
display
panel
or
the
head
of
the
remote
control)
with
a
gentle
window
cleanser.
Cleaning
cassettes
e
In
principle
there
is
no
need
to
clean
the
head
of
your
DCC
player
if
you
use
only
DCC
cassettes.

The
use
of
conventional
compact
cassettes
of
inferior
quality
may
leave
dirt
on
the
DCC
head.
This
can
aftect
the
sound
quality
of
DCC
cassettes.
e
Special
DCC
cleaning
cassettes
are
available
to
clean
the
DCC
head.
e
tis
strongly
advised
not
to
use
conventional
compact
cleaning
cassettes
as
they
will
not
clean
the
DCC
head
well
enough.
Only
use
special
‘DCC
cleaning
cassettes’
for
your
‘DCC
300"!
Do
not
use
demagnetizing
cassettes!
Probiems
wiih
the
whole
system
lf
a
fault
occurs,
read
the
points
below
before
taking
your
‘DCC
300’
for
repair.
Electrostatic
charge
may
cause
unexpected
symptoms,
e.g.
the
unit
does
not
respond
to
any
command.
To
reset
the
unit:
e
Switch
off
the
power
by
pressing
the
POWER
ON/OFF
key.
e
Switch
on
the
power
again
after
a
few
seconds.
WARNING
Ifthese
remedies
fail
to
help,
consult
your
dealer.
Under
no
circumstances
should
you
try
to
repair
the
unit
yourself
as
that
would
invalidate
the
guarantee.
