Conventions
This section describes the conventions used in this guide.
Text Formatting
The following typographical conventions are used in this guide.
Decimal Points
On the EarlyVue VS30 vital signs monitor, a period (.) is always used to indicate a
decimal point (for example, in a temperature value of 36.7), regardless of the language
interface in use. In this Instructions for Use, all decimal values that represent numbers
displayed on the monitor are written with a period as the decimal point. Commas are
not used in these decimal values.
Notes, Cautions, and Warnings
This guide uses the following conventions for Notes, Cautions, and Warnings.
Note
A Note calls attention to an important point in the text.
Caution
A Caution calls attention to a condition or possible situation that could damage or destroy the
product or the user’s work.
WARNING
A Warning calls attention to a condition or possible situation that could cause injury to the user and/or
patient.
