Temperature Safety Information
WARNING
• Do not reuse probe covers.
• The probe covers are a potential choking hazard.
• To minimize risk of damage to the monitor during defibrillation use only approved supplies.
• Use only the specified probes for your monitor.
• Do not use the thermometer if you see any signs of damage to the probe.
• Disposal of probe covers must be in compliance with local and facility regulations.
Caution
• When replacing the temperature probe after a measurement is complete, verify that the probe is
firmly seated in the probe well, but do not forcefully insert the probe in the well.
• Biting the probe may cause damage to the probe.
• Do not take an axillary temperature through the patient’s clothing. Direct probe cover-to-skin
contact is required.
