Temperature Safety Information
WARNING
Do not reuse probe covers.
The probe covers are a potential choking hazard.
To minimize risk of damage to the monitor during defibrillation use only approved supplies.
Use only the specified probes for your monitor.
Do not use the thermometer if you see any signs of damage to the probe.
Disposal of probe covers must be in compliance with local and facility regulations.
Caution
When replacing the temperature probe after a measurement is complete, verify that the probe is
firmly seated in the probe well, but do not forcefully insert the probe in the well.
Biting the probe may cause damage to the probe.
Do not take an axillary temperature through the patient’s clothing. Direct probe cover-to-skin
contact is required.
