Enabling NBP Auto Print
13-8 EarlyVue VS30 Instructions for Use
Enabling NBP Auto Print
You can configure the monitor to automatically initiate a printout each time an NBP
measurement is taken. If an NBP event occurs when an equal or higher priority printing
task is already running, the NBP event is saved in the print task queue.
For more information, see “Enabling Automatic NBP Printouts” on page 6-7.
Printing Queue
The VS30 maintains a printing queue of up to 10 tasks. Printing tasks are added to the
queue according to their priority.
High priority print tasks, such as recording on physiological alarm, are queued ahead of
lower priority tasks. High priority tasks also interrupt and cancel lower priority tasks that
are currently printing.
If the queue is full:
• The lowest priority task with the most recent timestamp is removed to allow a higher
priority task to be added.
• If the new task has the same priority as the lowest task in the queue, the new task is
not added to the queue.
You can stop printing at any time by touching the Print icon on the current screen.
Printing stops automatically if a recorder error occurs. The print queue is maintained, but
new printing tasks are not added to the queue until after the error has been resolved.
Printing is canceled and the queue is cleared when:
• A new patient is admitted or discharged.
• Monitor enters standby or deep sleep mode or loses all power.
