Why is air or steam leaking from the lid of my Philips HD2151/62 Electric Pressure Cooker?

  Air or steam may leak due to several reasons: * The cap nut around the temperature controller might be loose, so fasten it tightly with the appropriate tools. * The sealing ring might not be well assembled; ensure it is correctly placed around the detachable inner lid. * There might be food residue in the sealing ring, floating valve, or pressure regulator; clean these components. * The pressure regulator might not be well assembled; make sure it's correctly placed. * The lid might not be completely closed and locked; ensure it is fully fastened in the right position.

  If your food isn't cooking properly, consider these possibilities: * You may have selected the incorrect function or cooking time; try increasing the cooking time or changing the cooking method. * Ensure there is no foreign residue on the heating element and the outside of the inner pot before turning on the cooker. * If the heating element is damaged, or the inner pot is deformed, take the cooker to your Philips dealer or a service center authorized by Philips.

  If you're having trouble opening the lid after pressure release: * Ensure the handle is in the correct position. * If there could be food residue on the bottom of the floating valve, do not force it open, as this may cause burns. Wait for the appliance to cool down for about 30 minutes, then repeatedly turn the handle back and forth.
