      If you're not getting 5.1-channel audio from your Philips Home Theater System, first check if the disc contains 5.1-channel audio. Then, set “Audio Output” to “Speakers” in the settings menu, and make sure that the surround mode is not set to “2.1ch Stereo”. When listening to a stereo (2 channel) source, press [SURROUND] and select “Dolby Pro Logic II Music” or “Dolby Pro Logic II Movie” to upmix the stereo source to 5.1 channel surround.

      If your Philips Home Theater System cannot play back AVCHD file, note that the unit cannot play back standalone AVCHD files (*.m2ts, *.mts or *.m2t) written to a DVD or copied to an SD card. The DVD or SD card containing AVCHD files must have a proper file and folder structure meeting AVCHD format specifications. Use AVCHD compliant device / software to burn or copy AVCHD files to DVD or SD card.

Also, make sure that the file extension is .mp3 or .MP3 for MP3, and .wma or .WMA for Windows Media™ Audio.
