When to consult your doctor
If you take prescribed medication or receive regular
medical monitoring because of a certain condition, consult
your doctor before you use Philips Lumea Comfort. You
should also consult your doctor if you are not sure if the
appliance is suitable for you.
Precautions
To avoid adverse effects:
- Do not treat the same area of skin more than once
during a session.
- Always shave the treatment area before treatment and
make sure that the skin in the treatment area is clean
and dry.
- Do not clean the skin with ammable liquids, such as
alcohol or acetone, before you use the appliance
Warning about sun exposure and tanning
Sun exposure or articial tanning before
treatment
- Avoid sun exposure or exposure to tanning equipment
for 2 weeks before treatment. Tanned skin contains a lot
of pigment. If you use Philips Lumea Comfort on tanned
skin, this increases the risk of adverse side effects and
skin reactions.
Sun exposure or articial tanning after treatment
- After treatment, wait 48 hours before you expose your
skin to the sun or to articial tanning. Protect the skin
with a sunscreen with SPF30 or higher during the entire
hair-removal period and for at least 2 weeks after the
last treatment. If you used an articial tanning lotion to
get a tan, wait until this articial tan has disappeared
before you start the next treatment.
