Instructions to reduce the risk of electrocution, including charger placement and handling damaged cords.
Deplete the rechargeable battery by removing the handle from the charger and turning the Sonicare on until it stops.
Insert a screwdriver into the bottom of the handle, turn counter-clockwise to remove the screw, and pull off the end cap.
Insert screwdriver between the handle and internal frame, then tilt to loosen the handle.
Remove the internal frame from the handle after the end cap has been removed.
Remove the rubber seals located on top and below the battery.
Insert screwdriver between the battery and frame, then tilt to pop the battery out of the frame.
Place tape over battery ends to avoid short-circuiting from residual energy before disposal or recycling.
