1
Make sure that you have the original remote control at
hand.
2 Select the desired device
(e.g. DVD).
Press the
device selection key to
select DVD.
The key lights up.
3
Place both remote controls
on a flat surface (like a
table) and aim them
head-to-head with about 5
- 10 cm in between.
4
Keep the
key
and the
key
you
wish to
learn on
the SRP5004 (e.g. the
key) pressed simultaneously
for 5 seconds,
until the red
Setup LED
light up.
The remote control is now in learn mode.
5
Press and hold the key that you wish to learn on the
original remote control until the
device selection
key gives two short blinks and both key and Setup
LED
go out to confirm that learning was successful.
The remote control has now learned the new
function.
Note
It may occur that learning a key function fails the first
time. The device selection key will then give a long
blink and both key and Setup LED
will
go out. In
this case, please try again.
If you keep having trouble learning key functions,
check the batteries in both SRP5004 and original
remote control and replace if necessary.
It may also be that the remote control learn memory
is full (a total of 60 keys can be learned). In this case
you can r
eset one or more keys to their all original
functions in order to create memory space. For this,
see chapter 3.3.
