Usage
When using brand new cartridges, it is
advisable to dispose of the first 8 litres of
filtered water. Doing this removes the
discoloration of the water due to the unused
activated carbon, as well as relieving the muddy
taste of the freshly manufactured ceramic.
A reduction in the flow rate indicates the need
to clean the filter. Scrub the candle under
running water with a scouring pad to expose a
new layer of ceramic. However, due to the
activated carbon exhaustion, the Spirit cartridge
is to be replaced every six months.
The Phoenix Spirit candle offers a lifetime of
3000 litres or 6 months, whichever comes first.
When not in use air-dry the spirit cartridge for a
minimum of 24 hours then store in dry place.
