The Phoenix Gravity is a countertop water filter designed to provide clean drinking water through a multi-stage ceramic filtration system. Its housing is constructed from high-quality stainless steel, ensuring durability and a sleek appearance.
Function Description:
The primary function of the Phoenix Gravity is to filter tap water to meet drinking water standards. It employs a 3-stage ceramic filtration technology to remove various contaminants, improving the taste and safety of the water.
Important Technical Specifications:
- Housing Material: High-quality stainless steel.
- Filtration Technology: 3-stage ceramic filtration.
- First Stage (Phoenix Spirit ceramic): Provides genuine sub-micron filtration, reducing fine particulate matter, bacteria, cysts, and turbidity.
- Second Stage: Incorporates silver within the ceramic structure to inhibit bacterial growth, offering enhanced bacteriostatic and self-sterilizing properties.
- Third Stage: Features an inner core of activated carbon to remove chlorine, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), and industrial solvents.
- Cartridge Lifespan (Phoenix Spirit candle): 3000 litres or 6 months, whichever comes first.
Usage Features:
- Ease of Installation: The filter is designed for straightforward, hassle-free installation, requiring minimal tools (only a screwdriver for the lid knob).
- Step 1: Screw the knob (D) onto the lid (A).
- Step 2: Install the tap (G) by placing one rubber ring over its stem, positioning it in the hole of chamber (C), then adding another rubber ring on the inner side of (C) and securing it with the wing nut. The rubber rings prevent leakage, and no additional tools are needed to tighten the nut firmly.
- Step 3: Place the base rubber ring (F) on a flat surface, then position the lower chamber (C) over it, gently applying pressure to fit the ring.
- Step 4: Attach the two provided cartridges (E) to chamber (B) using a similar technique as in Step 2.
- Step 5: Place chamber (B) over chamber (C) and close it with the lid (A).
- Initial Use: When using new cartridges, it is recommended to dispose of the first 8 litres of filtered water. This helps remove discoloration from unused activated carbon and any muddy taste from the freshly manufactured ceramic.
- Water Compatibility: The filter is designed for use with cold or room temperature water. Hot water may damage the filter.
- Application Restrictions: Only use the filter for water that meets drinking water standards. Do not use filtered water in aquariums or for watering plants, as it can be harmful to fish and plants.
Maintenance Features:
- Flow Rate Reduction: A decrease in flow rate indicates the need to clean the filter.
- Cartridge Cleaning: The ceramic candle can be scrubbed under running water with a scouring pad to expose a new layer of ceramic, restoring flow rate.
- Cartridge Replacement: Due to the exhaustion of activated carbon, the Spirit cartridge must be replaced every six months, regardless of cleaning.
- Storage: When not in use, the Spirit cartridge should be air-dried for a minimum of 24 hours and then stored in a dry place.
Important Warnings:
- Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the water filter.
- The cartridges and accessories are designed exclusively for cold or room temperature water. Hot water can cause damage.
