Connect the fork end of the power cord to the plug in transformer using the two AC screws. The ground
screw is not used.
THE 3 PRIMARY MODES OF THE TRIDENT
There are 3 primary modes of operation.
• “A” Seconds of ON time, Minutes of OFF time.
• “B” Minutes of ON time, Minutes of OFF time.
• “C” Minutes of ON time, Hours of OFF time.
The 3-Position Mode Selector Switch is used to change between Modes. Selecting either of the modes will
cause the corresponding BLUE LED to light. The mode selected LED will always be lighted except when
in programming mode.
SELECTING YOUR “ON” AND “OFF” TIMES
You select your desired “ON” and “OFF” times by using the Rotary Switches at the top of the controller.
THE ON TIME ROTARY SWITCH
The “ON” Time Rotary Switch selects how long the controller’s output is activated.
This switch has twelve possible settings for Time ON, they are; 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, or 60
These increments will either be in Seconds or Minutes depending on the current Mode that is selected.
NOTE: There is a flashing indicator on the top right hand corner of the 7 segment display that indicates
seconds if the time is greater than 99 minutes/hour.
THE OFF TIME ROTARY SWITCH
The “OFF” Time Rotary Switch selects when the output is de-energized.
This switch also has twelve possible settings to choose from. They are; ON, 2, 4, 6, 10, 15, 20, 30, 60, 120,
180, or OFF.
If ON is selected then the output will remain energized as long as it is selected.

If OFF is selected there will be no power to the output or the countdown of any programs. You will
however still be able to see the time on the controller and no programs will be erased.
