Do you have a question about the Pioneer XR-P330M and is the answer not in the manual?
This document describes the Pioneer XR-P330 and XR-P330M audio systems, which are integrated stereo components featuring a receiver, CD player, cassette deck, and speaker system.
The Receiver section includes an amplifier, FM/AM tuner, and various controls. The amplifier provides a Music Power (DIN) of 37 W + 37 W and a Continuous Power Output (DIN) of 22 W + 22 W (1 kHz, T.H.D. 1%, 8 Ω) or 28 W + 28 W (1 kHz, T.H.D. 5%, 8 Ω) RMS. Hum & Noise (DIN, Continuous Power/50 mW) is 68 dB/60 dB, and Total Harmonic Distortion (40 Hz to 20,000 Hz, 20 W, 8 ohms) is no more than 0.25% for PHONO input. These specifications are for a 230 V power supply.
The FM Tuner Section covers a frequency range of 87.5 MHz to 108 MHz. Usable Sensitivity (IHF) is 12.8 dBf (1.2 µV/75 ohms) mono. Sensitivity (DIN) is 1 µV/75 Ω mono (S/N 26 dB) and 50 µV/75 Ω stereo (S/N 46 dB). Signal-to-Noise Ratio (IHF, 85 dBf Input) is 77 dB mono and 73 dB stereo. Signal-to-Noise Ratio (DIN) is 66 dB mono and 60 dB stereo. Distortion (1 kHz) is 0.5% stereo. Antenna Input is 75 ohms unbalanced. For AM Tuner Section, the frequency range is 531 kHz to 1,602 kHz. Sensitivity (IHF, Loop antenna) is 350 µV/m. The antenna type is a Loop Antenna.
The CD Player Section is a compact disc digital audio system. Wow and Flutter is at the limit of measurement (±0.001% W.PEAK) or less (EIAJ). The XR-P330 features a single disc tray, while the XR-P330M uses a magazine charger for up to six discs.
The Cassette Deck Section features a 4-track, 2-channel stereo system with one recording/playback head, one playback head, and one erasing head. It uses two DC servo motors. Wow and Flutter is no more than 0.09% (WRMS). Frequency Response (-20 dB recording) for TYPE II (HIGH/CrO2) tape is 35 Hz to 15,000 Hz ±6 dB, and for TYPE I (Normal) tape is 35 Hz to 14,000 Hz ±6 dB. Signal-to-Noise Ratio (Dolby NR OFF) is 56 dB. The Noise Reduction Effect (Dolby B type NR ON) is more than 10 dB (at 5 kHz).
The Speaker System (S-P330) is a 2-way, 2-speaker bass reflex type (book-shelf style). It includes a 14 cm cone type woofer and a 6.6 cm cone type tweeter. Frequency Range is 50 to 20,000 Hz. Nominal Impedance is 8 Ω. Sensitivity is 85 dB/W at 1 m distance. Music Power (DIN) is 60 W. Dimensions are 180 (W) x 310 (H) x 206 (D) mm, and Weight is 3.0 kg.
The device includes a POWER STANDBY/ON switch with a STANDBY indicator. In STANDBY mode, a minute flow of power maintains operation readiness. Timer Control buttons (WAKE UP/-, REC/+, SET) allow for setting timer playback and recording. VOLUME control adjusts sound. STEREO WIDE button (p. 94) creates an expansive sound field, with two modes (WIDE 1 and WIDE 2) offering different levels of expansion. P.BASS and TREBLE level controls (p. 94) adjust low and high frequencies, respectively. FM MONO button (p. 36) and FREQ/STATION button (p. 36) are for tuner operations. MEMORY button (p. 38, 40) allows for memorizing stations, including an auto presetting function for up to 24 FM/AM stations. FUNCTION button (p. 2) cycles through TUNER, TAPE, CD, and PHONO modes. Headphones jack (PHONES) and CLOCK ADJ button (p. 34) are also present. The Display (p. 26) shows various indicators for timer, STEREO WIDE, ASES, tuner, time, music calendar, disc/track, volume, function, random, program, repeat, play, and frequency/time. TUNING - (down) and TUNING + (up) buttons (p. 36) are for manual tuning. BAND button (p. 36) selects AM or FM bands. Remote control operations (p. 14) are possible within approx. 7 meters and 30 degrees from the remote sensor window. CD Playback: The XR-P330 allows loading a single 8 cm or 12 cm disc. The XR-P330M uses a magazine charger for multiple discs. Playback can be paused, stopped, and resumed. CD Player Operations: Includes track search, manual search, Hi-Lite Scan (to play a portion of each track), repeat playback, random playback, and program playback (to play desired tracks in a specific order). Cassette Tape Handling: Tips are provided for re-recording on tapes with broken tabs and general care. Tape Playback: Features relay playback from Deck I to Deck II, repeating up to 4 sides. Continuous playback of both sides is possible if only one deck has a tape. Recording: The display can show elapsed recording time. An automatic tape selector function determines tape type (TYPE I or TYPE II) to set appropriate recording bias and equalization. Timer Recording: Allows setting timer-controlled recording. Sleep Timer: Automatically turns off power after a specified time (Auto, 90, 60, 30, or 0 minutes). Auto sleep activates during recording and turns off power when recording finishes.
Cleaning the head section (p. 110): The heads, capstan, and pinch roller should be cleaned regularly using a cotton swab and cleaning fluid. Demagnetizing the cassette deck heads (p. 110): The deck heads may become magnetized over time, leading to noise and reduced high-frequency sounds. A head demagnetizer should be used at regular intervals to eliminate magnetism.
Troubleshooting (p. 114) provides solutions for common issues such as no sound from speakers, strange sounds, no AM reception, beat noise, noise, distorted sound, no stereo sound, no time indication, and timer not working.
Accessories: The system comes with Operating Instructions, a Remote Control Unit, Dry Cell Batteries (AAA/R03) x 2, an FM T-type Antenna, an AM Loop Antenna, and a Power cord.
Specifications and design are subject to possible modification without notice due to improvements. Measurements are performed by an audio spectrum analyzer.
