The PKM PRO Jack is a specialized lifting device designed for rally cars, enabling quick and reliable wheel changes in assistance parks. Manufactured from lightweight materials, it aims to minimize additional on-board weight.
Function Description
The PRO Jack is engineered to efficiently lift rally cars. Its primary function is to provide a stable and rapid lifting mechanism, crucial for competitive motorsport environments where speed and reliability are paramount during service stops. The jack incorporates an automatic release mechanism, ensuring that the rod retracts automatically after use, eliminating any free stroke and saving time by not requiring manual pushing back of the rod into the tube. This feature is designed to streamline the packing process after use.

Usage Features
The PRO Jack offers several features to enhance its usability and efficiency:
- High Grip Alloy Pad: This feature ensures stable operation even in challenging conditions, providing a secure contact point with the ground.
- Fixation System: The jack offers multiple solutions to maintain the pin's position, including plastic clips and magnets, allowing users to choose the most suitable method for their needs.
- Double Action Piston: This design allows for pumping on both the upward and downward strokes of the carbon stick, enabling faster car lifting.
- Automatic Release: As mentioned, the pressurized jack automatically retracts its rod after use, eliminating free stroke and saving time during packing.
- Setup for Pin Limiter: If a pin limiter layout is chosen, users must set the pin range to the correct distance to lift the car without damage. This setup is a one-time process unless the car is changed. It's crucial to ensure the pin is inserted into the car lifting tube by at least 120 mm, even if the pin limiter is not used.
- High Stop Setup: The high stop of part 1 (as indicated in the manual) can be adjusted by screwing the high stop screw into one of three designated holes. Loctite 243 with a 4 N.m torque is recommended for securing the screw.
- Normal Use Procedure:
- Unlock the pin and insert it into the car lifting tube, ensuring it is at least 120 mm inside.
- When possible, use the car lifting tube on the axle opposite the puncture.
- Hold the jack by the pin and lower it to the ground to adjust its height, avoiding unnecessary pumping. This step helps adjust the pin's height by eliminating free stroke, saving time.
- Pump the stick to lift the car.
- For safety, place an extra wheel beside the jack and under the car.
- To remove the jack, turn the releasing button (named 2) to lower the car. The first 30° of rotation allow for setting the descent speed. The jack is pressurized, so the rod will automatically retract into the tube. Users should be cautious not to trap their hand with the jack pad as it will retract quickly. To retract the jack correctly, place the pin on the tube before closing the scroll wheel 2.
- To pack the jack, remove it from the car lifting tube, fold the pin over the tube jack, allowing part 1 to move downward to its maximum extent, and then secure the pin to the clip or magnet. This prepares the jack for storage in the trunk.
Maintenance Features
- Tested and Approved: All PRO Jacks undergo rigorous testing and approval at the PKM Consulting factory before shipment. Each jack is loaded under a metal frame with a scale and tested to ensure it maintains the load for 15 minutes.
- Warnings:
- Do not disassemble the jack, as the oil and gas inside are pressurized, which can be dangerous and cause damage.
- Avoid hitting the highest stroke of the stick while pumping.
- Ensure the jack is correctly maintained in the car.
- Services: To ensure optimal performance, PKM Consulting recommends services every 6 months for normal use or every 3 months for intensive use. PKM Consulting can be contacted at 428, Avenue de Copenhague, 83870 Signes, France, by phone at 0033494903487, or via email at contact@pkm-consulting.com.
- Versioning: The manual includes a versioning table, with the initial release (REV A) by RICORD on 12/05/2022, indicating "Creation." This allows for tracking updates and changes to the product and its documentation.
