      William AcostaAug 19, 2025
If your pleasant hearth Gas Heater produces unwanted odors, it could be due to several reasons. First, the heater might be burning vapors from paint, hair spray, or glues. Why does my pleasant hearth Gas Heater produce a whistling noise when lit?
    • L
      lrodriguezSep 8, 2025
If your pleasant hearth Gas Heater produces a whistling noise when the burner is lit, try turning the control knob to the low (1) position and let it warm up for a minute. It could also be due to air in the gas line; operate the burner until the air is removed from the line and have the gas line checked by your local propane/LP gas company. Blocked air passageways on the heater can also cause this; observe minimum installation clearances. Lastly, a dirty or partially clogged burner orifice can cause this; clean the burner.
