How to fix no spark at ODS/pilot when pressing ignitor button on pleasant hearth Gas Heater?
    • L
      Lauren GomezSep 10, 2025
If the ignitor button is pressed in, but there is no spark at ODS/pilot on your pleasant hearth Gas Heater, the ignitor electrode may be positioned wrong or broken, in which case you should replace the electrode. The ignitor electrode might not be connected to the ignitor cable, or the ignitor cable could be pinched, wet, or damaged; replace the ignitor cable, free it if pinched, and keep it dry. A bad push button ignitor or a bad battery could also be the cause; replace the push button ignitor or check and replace the battery if needed.

      leesmithSep 12, 2025
If the ignitor button is pressed in, and there is a spark at the ODS/pilot but no ignition on your pleasant hearth Gas Heater, ensure the gas supply is turned on and the equipment shutoff valve is open. Make sure the control knob is fully pressed in while pressing the ignitor button and that the control knob is in the PILOT position. If there is air in the gas lines, continue holding down the control knob and repeat the igniting operation until the air is removed. A clogged ODS/pilot could also be the issue; clean or replace the ODS/pilot assembly. If the gas regulator setting is incorrect, replace the gas regulator. Finally, if you have a propane model, the gas supply may be depleted; contact your local propane/LP gas company.
