Throttle Cable Freeplay
Adjust throttle cable freeplay at the
handlebar.
1. Slide the boots off the inline cable
adjuster sleeve. Loosen the
adjuster locknut.
2. Turn the adjuster until 1.6-3 mm of
freeplay exists at the lever. Move
the throttle lever back and forth
several times while adjusting.
3. Tighten the lock nut and slide the
boots over the cable adjuster until
they touch at the midpoint of the
adjuster.
Tip: Engine RPM should not increase when steering is turned full left or right.
Readjust cable freeplay if this occurs.
