11. Torque the camshaft carrier bolts in sequence to
specification.
TORQUE
Camshaft Carrier Bolts:
7 ft-lbs (10 N·m)
12.Install camshaft sprocket bolt and torque to
specification.
TORQUE
Camshaft sprocket Bolt
44 ft-lb (60 Nm)
NOTICE
Ensure exhaust decompression mechanism still moves
freely and returns by spring force after sprocket has
been installed.
13. Insure the new sealing washer
q
is in place.
14.Install the hydraulic cam chain tensioner
w
into the
cylinder and torque to specification.
TORQUE
Cam Chain Tensioner:
37 ft-lbs (50 Nm)
15.Rotate crankshaft through two revolutions and verify
camshaft timing is correct.
NOTICE
Verify the valve lash after the tensioner has been
installed and the engine has been rotated two turns.
