What to do if my Polaris Offroad Vehicle engine turns over but fails to start?
- DDiana GarciaJul 27, 2025
If your Polaris Offroad Vehicle's engine turns over but fails to start, it could be due to several reasons. You might be out of fuel, so refuel. Water may be present in the fuel, so drain the fuel system and refuel. Old or non-recommended fuel can also cause this, so replace it with fresh, recommended fuel. Fouled or defective spark plugs can prevent starting, so inspect the plugs and replace them if necessary. A lack of spark to the spark plug can also be the cause, so inspect the plugs and replace if necessary. Low battery voltage can also cause this issue, so recharge the battery to 12.8 VDC. In more serious cases, water or fuel in the crankcase or mechanical failure could be the reason.
