What causes a Polaris Ranger 6X6 700 EFI 2006 Utility Vehicle engine to backfire?
- MMr. Christopher GreenAug 6, 2025
If your Polaris Utility Vehicle engine backfires, it could be due to several reasons. Weak spark from the spark plugs can cause this, so inspect, clean, and/or replace the spark plugs. Ensure the spark plug gap and heat range are correct. Replace old or non-recommended fuel with new fuel. For incorrectly installed spark plug wires or incorrect ignition timing, consult your Polaris dealer. Also, mechanical failure can lead to backfiring, so consult your Polaris dealer.
