DEMAND DRIVE UNIT (FRONT GEARCASE)
Always check and change the fluid at the intervals outlined in the Periodic
Maintenance Chart. Refer to the Gearcase Specifications Chart section for
recommended lubricants, capacities and torque specifications.
DEMAND DRIVE FLUID CHECK
The fill plug
q
is located on the bottom right side of the demand drive unit.
Maintain the fluid level so that it is even with the bottom thread of the fill plug
hole.
1. Position the vehicle on a level surface.
2. Remove the fill plug.
3. Check the fluid level to see if even with bottom thread of fill plug hole.
4. If fluid level is not even with bottom thread of fill plug hole, add the
recommended fluid as necessary (fluid type is listed in the Gearcase
Specification Chart section).
5. Reinstall the fill plug. Torque to specification (listed in the Gearcase
Specification Chart section).
