Pum p Removal -- Continued
5. Remove the four pump mounting bolts using a
criss--cross pattern.
6. Remove the jet nozzle assembly from the watercraft.
NOTE: Verify the position of the pump wedge for later use
in reassembly. (Thick end down)
W ARNING: Never suspend the steering nozzle assembly
by the steering cable or reverse linkage.
7. Using an orbital motion, work the impeller assembly
out of the pump housing.
NOTE: Driveshaft usually comes out with the impeller /
stator assembly.
