Work through the continuity tables below to
find fault with the reverse motor / limit switch
assembly. The three possible meter reading
are:
1. Open (O.L.)
2. Closed (0-.1.58)
3. Motor winding resistance (0.5-6.08)
Push the bilge pump button along with
the FWD or REV buttons to change the
position of the reverse gate when the en-
gine is not running. Visually inspect the
reverse gate position. The MFI may not
indicate reverse gate position during this
test. Cycle the reverse gate following this
test to reset MFI gauge.
