CONVENIENCE FEATURES
(Outside Air): Press this button
to allow outside air to enter the
v e h i c l e .
Airflow Mode: Turn the airflow mode
control knob (C) to change the direction
of the airflow to the vent, bi-level,
floor, defog or defrost mode.
(Defog): Select this mode to direct
air to the windshield, side window out-
lets and floor outlets.
(Defrost): Select this mode to
direct most of the air to the windshield
and some air to the side window
o u t l e t s a n d f l o o r o u t l e t s .
(Rear Window Defogger): Press
this button to activate the rear window
defogger and the heated outside
rearview mirrors (if equipped). The
defogger and heated mirrors will turn
off automatically or can be turned off
by pressing the button again.
Automatic Climate Control
Operation (if equipped)
The automatic climate control system
adjusts the airflow mode, fan speed,
air conditioning and recirculation func-
tions to reach the set temperature as
quickly as possible.
To set the automatic system:
1. Turn the fan control knob (A) and the
airflow mode control knob (C) to the
AUTO position.
2. Set the temperature. Allow time for
the system to reach the desired
temperature.
See Section 3 of your Owner Manual.
Climate Controls
Your vehicle may have a manual climate
control system or the available auto-
matic climate control system. Both
s y s t e m s i n c l u d e t h e f o l l o w i n g f u n c t i o n s :
(Fan): Turn the fan control knob (A)
to increase or decrease the fan speed.
(Off): Turn the fan control knob to
the Off position to turn off the system.
Only the rear defogger will operate
when the system is off.
Temperature Control: Turn the
t e m p e r a t u r e c o n t r o l k n o b o r p r e s s t h e
temperature control buttons (B) (if
equipped) to raise or lower the temper-
ature setting.
(Air Conditioning): Press this
b u t t o n t o t u r n t h e a i r c o n d i t i o n i n g
s y s t e m o n o r o f f .
(Recirculation): Press this button
to recirculate air inside the vehicle. This
mode helps heat or cool the vehicle
more quickly and prevents outside air
and odors from entering the vehicle.
The recirculation mode will not operate
when the airflow control knob is in the
Defog or Defrost mode.
