The riving knife may not be aligned with the blade. Align the riving knife with the blade. 3. You might be feeding stock without a rip fence. Install and use the rip fence. 4. The riving knife might not be in place. Install and use the riving knife (with guard). 5. The blade might be dull. Replace the blade. 6. The operator might be letting go of the material before it is past the saw blade. Push the material all the way past the saw blade before releasing work. 7. The miter angle lock knob might not be tight. Tighten the knob.
