What to do if there is no O or N2O flow in my Porter 3000 Medical Equipment?
    • N
      Nicole LewisAug 13, 2025
If there's no flow of O or N2O when the ON/OFF switch is ON, and the knobs are set, check the following: * Ensure the O regulator in the tank room is turned ON. * Verify the machine is connected to the pipeline system via a wall outlet. * If using O cylinders, replace empty ones with full cylinders.

Why is the patient not feeling the effects of gases with the Porter 3000?
    • R
      Robin HoffmanAug 17, 2025
If the patient isn't feeling the effects of the gases, it might be due to the following reasons: * The outer mask may not be properly fit to the patient’s face. Adjust it so the inner mask is secure but the outer mask is slightly off the face. * The gas flows may not be meeting the patient’s requirements. Try readjusting the gas flows to achieve acceptable bag action.

    • D
      Douglas ChoiAug 21, 2025
If the bag is going flat during the procedure, consider these possible causes: * The gas flows might not be meeting the patient’s requirements. Readjust the gas flows to achieve acceptable bag action. * The outer mask may not be properly fit to the patient’s face. Ensure the inner mask is secure to the face, while the outer mask remains slightly off the face.

    Why can't I get 9 1/2 L/min O flow with my Porter 3000 Medical Equipment?
    • C
      Cheryl FergusonAug 28, 2025
If you cannot get 9 ½ L/min O flow with the concentration control knob OFF and the flow control knob full ON, the oxygen pressure setting might be low. Check the O regulator and ensure the O manifold pressure is at 50 PSIG ±2 PSIG. If it's not, call your Dealer for service.

Why do both gas flows vary proportionally in my Porter Medical Equipment?
    • M
      Morgan LewisSep 1, 2025
If, with the N2O concentration set, both flows vary proportionally without a change in the flow setting, the O regulator might be varying the pipeline pressure. Check the O regulator to ensure the O manifold pressure is 50 PSIG ±2 PSIG. If it's not, call your Dealer for service.

      Michael GilbertSep 5, 2025

    • W
      waynepetersonSep 9, 2025
