Usage Features

The ATOM Pro offers straightforward operation for its various power outputs:

1. DC12V and 5V USB Power: To activate, press the ON/OFF switch briefly. The UID will illuminate, indicating that 12V and USB outputs are active. The device features auto power detection; if no device is connected to the USBs for 30 seconds, or once a connected device is fully charged, the ATOM Pro will automatically power off. Note: The DC output voltage ranges from 9V to 12.6V, with a maximum current of 10A. If a connected DC12V appliance lacks voltage stabilization, voltage drops due to declining battery levels may cause instability. In such cases, usage should be discontinued.

2. AC Output Power: To activate AC power, double-press the ON/OFF switch. The UID will display "AC ON," indicating that AC output is now powered. Double-pressing the button again will turn off AC power, and the AC power symbol will disappear from the display. The AC socket will remain powered until explicitly turned off via the ON/OFF switch. Note: The AC output rated power is 150W. Appliances exceeding 150W should not be connected. An internal fan will automatically activate for cooling when the working temperature is high. Users are advised to read the manual carefully, especially regarding voltage requirements in different countries, to prevent hazards.

3. Recharging: The ATOM Pro can be recharged via three methods:

  • AC Adapter: Connect the provided AC adapter to a household AC socket and the DC plug to the ATOM Pro's DC input. The UID will flash "IN" and display the battery level percentage. Charging is complete when the display shows 100%.
  • Solar Charging (if applicable): Connect the DC cable from a solar panel directly to the ATOM Pro's DC input. "IN" will flash on the UID, indicating charging.
  • Vehicle Charging: The ATOM Pro can be charged using a 12V-24V vehicle input with a suitable vehicle cable.

4. User Information Display (UID): The UID will power down (dark display) after 20 seconds when using USB or 12V DC outputs. However, "AC ON" will remain illuminated when AC power is in use to remind the user of its active status.

Maintenance Features

1. Battery Health and Longevity: The ATOM Pro uses high-quality lithium-ion batteries with no memory effect. For optimal charging capacity, it is recommended to operate the device within a temperature range of 10°C to 30°C.

2. Storage and Downtime: When storing the ATOM Pro for extended periods, it is recommended to charge it to approximately 75%. This practice helps prolong battery life and ensures the device is ready for use. To extend the product's life, it is best to charge it within 3 months of non-use, and at least once every 6 months.

3. Charging Environment: When charging, keep the device away from TV, radio, and other equipment to avoid interference.

4. Solar Panel Usage (if applicable):

  • Optimal Angle: The efficiency of solar panels depends on their angle relative to the sun. At solar noon (midday), the sun's energy is greatest, and panels should be positioned to maximize exposure. In the UK, panels are typically installed facing south. The optimal angle varies by location and season; for instance, in London in June, it's around 40 degrees off vertical, while in Manchester, it's closer to 35 degrees. Tilting the panel correctly can significantly increase the amount of sunlight captured and thus the power produced.
  • Shadows: Even small shadows, such as from a thin wire on a crystalline panel, can reduce power output. Ensure as many cells as possible are in full sun.
  • Behind Glass: Solar panels work behind glass but with reduced efficiency. Placing a panel behind glass or a plastic window can triple the charging time compared to direct sunlight.
  • Midday Sun: Position solar panels to take advantage of the midday sun, which is the strongest. Angling the panel towards the sun will increase energy generation outside of summer months.
  • Battery Condition: The power generated by a solar panel is only as good as the condition of the unit's battery.
  • DC to AC Conversion: Solar panels generate direct current (DC). To power home-style 230V AC sockets, an inverter is required to convert DC to alternating current (AC).

5. Recycling: Users are encouraged to return used electronic products, batteries, and packaging materials to dedicated collection points to promote responsible waste disposal and material recycling.

Safety and Warranty

  • Important Information: Keep the device away from objects that may cause short circuits (e.g., large metal objects). Do not heat, expose to fire, water, or other liquids. Keep it shaded from direct sunlight, away from high humidity and dusty environments. Do not crush, open, tamper with, drop, or subject the device to hard shock. Do not place heavy objects on it. Keep out of reach of children. Do not cover the device with towels, clothing, or other items, as it may become hot during charging.
  • Battery: The device contains an internal, non-removable, rechargeable battery. Do not attempt to remove it. The battery can be charged and discharged over 500 times before it eventually wears out.
  • Warranty: A 12-month warranty is provided against defective parts or materials. For repairs or refunds, the purchase receipt is required within the 12-month period at a local Powapacs retailer.
  • Warranty Exclusions: The warranty is void if the device is opened or repaired by unauthorized personnel. Damage caused by misuse (e.g., physical damage, overloading, compression, opening the device) or external factors (fire, water, corrosive substances, over standard voltage load) is not covered. Powapacs is not responsible for returns for warranty repairs.
  • Implied Warranties: The limited warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties. Implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, are limited to the applicable warranty period. Some countries may have different regulations regarding implied warranties.

The ATOM Pro is designed for optimal performance and durability, providing a reliable power source for various applications while emphasizing user safety and product longevity.
