      If your Power Fist Engine lacks power, start by checking the filter elements. Clean or replace them if they are restricted. Also, bad fuel could be the culprit, especially if the engine was stored without treating or draining the gasoline, or if it was refueled with bad gasoline. In this case, drain the fuel tank and carburetor and refuel with fresh gasoline. If the problem persists, there might be a restricted fuel filter, carburetor malfunction, ignition malfunction, or stuck valves.

      If your Power Fist Engine won't start, several factors could be the cause. First, ensure the fuel cock is in the ON position and the engine switch is also in the ON position. Check the engine oil level and add the recommended oil if it's low. Make sure you have fuel in the tank; if not, refuel. If the engine is cold, move the choke to the CLOSED position until it warms up, then move it to the OPEN position. If the engine is flooded, move the choke to the OPEN/RUN position. Also, the spark plug could be faulty, improperly gapped, or fouled. Try gapping or replacing the spark plug, or remove and clean it, ensuring the electrode spacing is correct.
