How to fix a Power Fist 420cc Engine that will not start?

  If your Power Fist Engine won't start, several factors could be the cause. First, ensure the engine switch and fuel valve are in the ON position. If the engine is cold, move the choke to the CLOSED position until warm, then to the OPEN position. Check the engine oil level and add the recommended oil if it's low. Make sure you have enough fuel and that it is fresh gasoline, not bad or stale. Finally, inspect the spark plug for proper gapping or replace it if faulty. If the engine is flooded, move the choke to the OPEN/RUN position.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, the fuel filter might be restricted, or there could be a carburetor or ignition malfunction, or stuck valves.
