If the gun trigger isn't working right or the gun itself is defective, it can prevent starting. Finally, a tripped thermal switch might be the cause—allow the unit to cool before restarting. In some cases, the ON/OFF switch itself may be defective. Note: the unit will only start when the trigger is depressed.
