Appendix A
File Names
Files are saved in the ProgramData directory. This directory is
compatible with all current versions of Microsoft Windows including
Vista. The full path to the files in a typical installation is
c:\ProgramData\Ice Gauge\Data\
Rink Name\Filename. Where Rink
Name
is the name of the rink assigned in the Facility Setup screen.
Filename is assigned by the program based on the date. For example
the first file saved for a specific rink on May 8
th
2008 would be
named 582008_1. The next file saved for the same rink on the same
day would be named 582008_2.
The files are save in two formats, a pdf format which can be viewed
and printed and a csv format which can be imported into a
spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel.
As a result, each time data is saved two files are created in the
directory named for the rink. In the example described above, the
two file names would be 582008_1.pdf and 582008_1.csv.
Appendix B
File Locations
Files are located in c:\ProgramData\IceGauge\Data\rink name.
The ProgramData directory is used in order to be compatible with the
Vista operating system and to make the files available to all users of a
Vista based computer.
