Generator exhaust contains deadly carbon monoxide gas. Never use indoors.
Position generator outdoors, at least 20 feet from structures, with exhaust pointed away.
Ground the generator to prevent electric shock hazards.
Check and fill oil and fuel levels before operation.
Engage the choke to initiate the starting sequence.
Turn the fuel valve to the 'ON' position.
Turn the power switch to the 'ON' position.
Pull the starter handle to begin engine operation.
Gradually disengage the choke as the engine warms up.
Verify total wattage of connected devices does not exceed generator limits.
Add up running and highest starting watts for all connected devices.
Refer to the wattage estimate chart for common appliances.
Reset tripped breakers and ensure loads are balanced across outlets.
