Another option: Once the top plate is in, you
may now also hang joists directly from the wall
panel. Use a joist hanger with a nailable top
flange. The flange should bear at least 1.5” (2”
is best) on to the top plate. Nail the top flange
following the fastening schedule specified by
the engineer.
