4. TO MEASURE THE MOISTURE
Make sure there are no power lines (wires, water pipes, etc.) and
metal surfaces at the location to be tested. Insert the electrode into
the material as much as possible, but never use excessive or
sudden impact forces as this may damage the device. Read the
value of moisture on the LCD. Always pull the device out of the
material with a left/right twisting action when testing is finished.
5. TO MEASURE THE TEMPERATURE
Switch the device to ºC or ºF mode, and read the ambient
temperature value on the LCD.
After the instrument is turned on,pressing the button
turns on the backlight. About 3 seconds later, the backlight
turns off automatically.
The device starts with the last selected measurement mode.
To select a mode, press and hold the Settings button for
3 seconds then wait until symbol stops flashing.

WARRANTY
The Instrument PMX-42A has a two-year warranty.
For further information on this, contact your dealer.
This warranty is void if product is used for commercial purposes.
This warranty is not transferable and does not cover products
damaged by misuse, neglect, accident, alterations or use and
maintenance other than that specified in the owner's manual. This
warranty does not apply to any expendable parts that can wear
from normal use. This warranty excludes any accessories.
PROHIBITED USE
• Using the product without instruction
• Using outside the stated limits
• Deactivation of safety systems and removal of explanatory and
hazard labels
• Opening of the equipment by using tools (screwdrivers, etc.)
• Carrying out modification or conversion of the product
• Use of accessories from other manufacturers without express
approval

use in areas ently habitable by humans. Do not use the product
in explosion hazardous areas or in aggressive environments.
