TIP: Waffles can be frozen and then reheated. Make a large batch ahead of
time and let cool on a cooling rack. Freeze in airtight storage bags; then heat
in a toaster oven, a toaster, or a regular oven.
Basic Waffles
1 cup (125 g) flour
1 tablespoon (17 g) sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons (7 g) baking
powder
1/2 teaspoon (3 g) salt
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt; set aside. In a
small bowl, whisk together milk, oil, and egg. Gradually add milk mixture to
flour mixture. Stir until just blended. Pour 1/4 cup (59 mL) of batter into waffle
maker. Close cover and cook 2 1/2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown.
Serves: 8

packaged pancake and waffle mix. The packaged mix waffles are done in
