What to do if the toasting slide on my Proficook PC-TA 1244 no longer moves up?

If the toasting slide on your Proficook Toaster won't move up, it's likely that a slice of bread is stuck. First, unplug the toaster and let it cool down completely. Then, use an insulated object, like a wooden stick, to carefully remove the bread. If needed, turn the toaster upside down to dislodge the bread.
