Measurement
Select the desired battery type with the range switch. Then select the test connection suitable for your
battery type (see picture).
All types Test leads (red = plus, black = minus).
Hold the test probes to the contacts of the battery.
Round cells Red test probe and minus measuring point on the unit.
Hold the minus contact on the measuring point of the BT 105 A and the red test probe
on the plus contact of the battery.
9 Volt block 9 V test points on the BT 105 A.
Place the battery contacts so that the contacts match the test contacts on the battery
tester.
Button cells Test compartment on the right side.
Place the button cells in the side compartment of the battery tester with the negative
pole facing upwards. Then press the grey button all the way down.
Observe the correct polarity "+" and "-" for all measurements ! If the polarity is incorrect, the
pointer of the instrument will deflect to the left, which can damage or destroy the sensitive
measuring mechanism.
Keep the measurement times as short as possible, as the batteries/rechargeable batteries are
stressed by the measurement. A longer measurement reduces the capacity of the batteries.
