Why is the Promate 120 Battery Charger run time less than expected?
    • G
      Gabriel JacksonAug 13, 2025
There are several reasons why the run time of your Promate Battery Charger might be less than expected: the internal battery was not fully charged, the AC product power consumption is higher than expected, or the battery has been damaged. To resolve this, fully recharge the battery using the AC charger until the battery status reads >12.8V. Also, check the AC product's power or wattage rating (or current draw for 12V DC appliances). Keep in mind that the starting load will affect the appliance's running time.

What to do if Promate 120 alarm sounds when inverter is used?
    • A
      Adrienne RichardsonAug 17, 2025
If the alarm sounds when the inverter is in use, it indicates that the internal battery is nearly discharged (10.3V ± 0.3V). If you ignore this warning, the power station will automatically shut down when the battery reaches 8.5V ± 0.3V. To resolve this, recharge the Powerstation.

What to do if AC product is not operating with Promate 120 Battery Charger?
    • W
      williamsleahAug 21, 2025
If your AC product isn't operating with the Promate Battery Charger, it could be due to several reasons: the AC product may be drawing more than 200W, or although rated at less than 200W, the high starting surge may have tripped the safety overload, or the battery may have discharged to 8.5V± 0.3V. Try using an AC product with a power rating less than 200W, or one with a starting surge within the 200W surge rating of the Powerstation. If the battery has discharged, turn the AC outlet off and recharge the Powerstation.

How to fix overtemperature shutdown on Promate Battery Charger?
    • M
      Mary MooreAug 26, 2025
If your Promate Battery Charger experiences an overtemperature shutdown, it means the inverter has overheated, possibly due to poor ventilation or excessively warm environmental conditions. Turn the AC Outlet On/Off switch off and allow the Powerstation to cool for 15 minutes or more. Also, clear any blocked fan openings or remove objects covering the unit, and move to a cooler environment.

What to do if Promate Battery Charger is in overload shutdown?
    • G
      Gina RogersAug 28, 2025
If your Promate Battery Charger is in overload shutdown, it means the appliance's power requirements exceed the capability of the Powerstation. Unplug the appliance and confirm that its power requirement is 200W or less before attempting to restart it.

Why is the charging status light off on my Promate 120?
    • T
      Tony SheltonSep 1, 2025
If the charging status light is off when the AC charger is connected to your Promate Battery Charger, it indicates either there is no AC power at the AC wall outlet or the AC charger is faulty. First, ensure power is available at the AC wall outlet. If the outlet is working, replace the AC charger.
