Why is my Pronovost Snow Blower not throwing snow as far?

  There are several reasons why your Pronovost Snow Blower might not be throwing snow as far as usual. The tractor RPM may be too low, so you should raise the P.T.O. speed to a minimum of 540 RPM. Also, the gap might be too wide between the impeller blade tip and drum outlet wall, so adjust the impeller blades closer to the drum outlet (1/8" to 3/16"). Finally, insufficient tractor HP may be the cause, in that case you should reduce travel speed.
