ohms:
1. When the resistance measurement is greater than 1.0x10
6
ohms the test voltage will automa-
cally be increased to 100 volts, and electricaon (Test Period) is automacally adjusted to >7.5
seconds.
2. Unless there are variaons in the material or object being measured, a stable resistance mea-
surement will be obtained in approximately 8.0 seconds.

The PRS-812 can obtain an accurate resistance measurement within 2.5 seconds
up to 1.0x10

ohms, depending on material characteriscs. An addional 5.0
seconds of electricaon is applied in accordance with ESD Associaon S11.11
Surface Resistance Standard.
3. Once a stable measurement is conrmed and displayed by the instrument, will be ener-
gized in the LCD and the electricaon mer will stop.
4. An LED corresponding to the measurement’s order of magnitude will be energized

ohms:
1. When the resistance measurement is greater than 1.0x10
12
ohms, the test voltage will remain
at 100 volts and the instrument will connue to automacally adjust the resistance range.
2. The instrument’s ELECTRIFICATION PERIOD is extended to a minimum of 15 seconds. Typically,
a stable measurement will be obtained in 15.0 to 20.0 seconds.
