Why is my ProSystems SIZE 1.0 using hard (untreated) water?

  Several factors can cause hard water to be dispensed. It could be due to an open bypass valve (close it), loss of resin (refer to SYMPTOM #9), the valve being in regeneration (wait for completion), excessive water use (check regeneration frequency), a change in raw water hardness (adjust settings), failure to regenerate (refer to SYMPTOM #2), failure to draw brine (refer to SYMPTOM #3), decreasing resin exchange capacity (clean or replace resin), no salt in the brine tank (add salt), a leak between rotor and seal disk (check/replace), a leak at the riser tube (verify seating/check for cracks), or valve/timer synchronization issues (synchronize them).

What to do if ProSystems SIZE 1.0 Water Dispenser unit fails to regenerate?

  If your unit isn't regenerating, check the electrical supply (fuse, transformer). Also, verify the correct regeneration schedule and reset the control. The drive motor, flow meter, computer board, or microswitches might be defective and need replacement.

  If the valve isn't drawing brine, first verify the operating pressure (minimum 20 psi). Then, check if the injector or injector filter is plugged and clean them if necessary. Inspect the drain and brine lines for any restrictions or kinks. Also, look for leaks in the brine line. If there's not enough water in the brine tank, refer to SYMPTOM #6.

  If the valve cycles continuously, the microswitch(es) may be defective or shorted and need to be replaced.

How to fix ProSystems SIZE 1.0 valve that fails to refill the brine tank?

  If the valve fails to refill the brine tank, check for blockages in the brine line or brine valve and remove them. Also, verify that the brine refill flow control is installed and properly sized. If the brine refill flow control is plugged, remove the debris.
