Mobile Phone Connectivity
he QD link app allows users to mirror the display of their mobile device to the IHU screen. QD
Link utilizes communication link via USB and Bluetooth to mirror the display. QD Link
synchronizes selected apps such as Navi, music, radio, news etc., to allow users to
experience familiar apps from their personal devices on the vehicle IHU.
Connection Mod
Both Android and iOS phones use USB connection mode.
Android:
• Ensure that QD Link APP has been installed on the mobile phone, or download and install
it through Connection Help.
• USB connection requires user permission to use USB accessory mode. Select the
checkbox, and click OK to use.
• Support screenshots. Select the checkbox, and click Start to us.
• When Bluetooth is connected, audio from calls are output via the car stereo. Call audio
output will only be via the phone speaker when Bluetooth is not connected.
iOS:
• Does not require app download.
• Connect to iPhone and IHU via USB cable.
• The phone will prompt the user whether to trust the device when connecting to IHU for the
first time. Click “Trust” and enter the password to unlock. This step is not necessary if
the phone does not have a lock screen password.
Application Help: The help page provides information for connection help, app download,
connection status, mobile phone type and Bluetooth auto-connection switch for Android
devices.
