it simplifies familiarisationwith the device and its func-
tions.
Proxxonassumesnoliabilityfor the safe function of the
device in the caseof:
•handling thatdoes not comply with normal intended

•use forother purposes not mentioned in the manual,
•incorrectly executed repairs,
•failure to heed safety instructions,
•external influences for whichthe manufacturer is not

Safety
warnings common for grinding, sanding,wire
brushing, polishing, carving or abrasive cutting-off
operations:
a) Thispower tool is intended to function as a
grinder, sander,wire brush, polisher, carving or
cut-off tool.Read allsafety warnings, instruc-
tions, illustrations and specifications provided
withthis power tool. Failure to followall instructions
listedbelowmay result in electric shock, fire and/or
serious injury.
c) Do not use accessorieswhich are not specifically
designedand recommendedbythe toolmanu-
facturer. Just because the accessorycan be at-
tached to your power tool, it does not assure safe op-
eration.
d) The rated speed of thegrinding accessories must
be at least equal to the maximum speedmarked
on thepower tool. Grinding accessories running
faster than theirrated speed can break and fly apart.
e) Theoutside diameter and the thickness of your
accessorymust be within the capacity rating of
your power tool. Incorrectly sized accessories can-
not be adequately controlled.
f) The arbour size of wheels, sanding drumsorany
other accessorymust properly fit the spindle or
collet of thepower tool. Accessories thatdonot
match the mountinghardware of the power tool will
run out of balance, vibrate excessively and may
cause loss of control.
g) Mandrelmounted wheels, sandingdrums,cutters
or other accessories mustbefully inserted into
the colletorchuck. If the mandrel is insufficiently
held and/orthe overhang of the wheelistoo long, the
mounted wheel may become looseand be ejectedat
high velocity.
h) Do not use adamagedaccessory. Before each
useinspectthe accessory such as abrasive
wheelsfor chips andcracks, sandingdrum for
cracks, tearorexcess wear,wire brush for loose
or cracked wires.Ifpower tool or accessoryis
dropped, inspectfor damageorinstall an undam-
aged accessory.After inspecting and installing
an accessory, positionyourself andbystanders
away fromthe plane of the rotating accessory
and run the power toolatmaximum no-load
