QuickScan 6000 and QuickScan 6000 Plus
are certified in the U.S. to conform to the
requirements of DHHS/CDRH 21CFR Subchapter J for Class II laser products.
QuickScan 6000/QuickScan 6000 Plus
scanners are also certified as Class I or 2
laser products to the requirements of IEC
825-1:1993. Class I or 2 and Class II products are not considered to be hazardous. The
QuickScan 6000/QuickScan 6000 Plus
contains internally a Visible Laser Diode
(VLD) at a wavelength of 650-670 nanometers. The scanner is designed so that there
can be no human access to harmful levels of laser light during normal operation, user
maintenance, or during prescribed service operations.
CAUTION
If the scan pattern is a single dot when depressing the trigger, discontinue operation and
return the unit to PSC .
CAUTION
Do not attempt to open or otherwise service any components in the optics cavity.
Opening or servicing any part of the optics cavity by unauthorized personnel may
violate laser safety regulations. The optics system is a factory only repair item.

QuickScan 6000/QuickScan 6000 Plus
entspricht den in den Vereinigten Staaten
geltenden Vorschriften des DHHS/CDRH 21CFR Subchapter J für Laserprodukte der
Klasse II (Class II). Der
QuickScan 6000/QuickScan 6000 Plus
ist ferner als ein
Laserprodukt der Klasse I oder 2 (Class I oder 2) nach den Vorschriften der IEC 825-
1:1993 zugelassen.
Produkte der Klasse I oder 2 (Class I oder 2) und der Klasse II (Class II) sind als
ungefährlich eingestuft. Der enthält eine VLD Diode auf einer Wellenlänge von 650-670
Nanometer ausstrahlt. Der Scanner ist so konstruiert, daß w ährend des normalen
Betriebes, der Wartung durch den Benutzer oder der vorgeschriebenen
Wartungsvorgänge kein Zugang zu schädlichen Laserlichtstufen möglich ist.
VORSICHT
Wird anstelle eines Laserstrahles ein Laserpunkt nach Betaetigung des
Schalters sichtbar, schicken Sie dieses Geraet umgehend an PSC zurueck.
Somit koennen Verletzung, hervorgerufen durch das gefaehrliche Laserlicht,
vermieden werden.
VORSICHT
Das optische System darf nur vom Werk repariert werden. Die Öffnung oder Wartung
von Bestandteilen des optischen Hohlraumes durch unbefugtes Personal verletzt die
Laser-Sicherheitsbestimmungen.
