How to fix no hot water in my PurePro PLUG N’ GO PRO-41ZPG?
    • M
      Mary AndersonJul 30, 2025
If there's no hot water from your PurePro Water Heater, start by checking the circuit breaker, boiler emergency switch, and boiler reset switch. It could also be due to air in the heat exchanger loop, so try purging the air, ensuring the circulator is on the Boiler Supply, and checking the air vents. A faulty circulator, zone valve, or BoilerMate thermostat could also be the culprit; inspect and repair or replace them as needed. Also, a faulty Smart Control might be the problem: if it's blank, check the power and continuity across the leads, replacing fuses or the control if necessary. Finally, ensure the boiler system is operational, as it must function to generate hot water.

What to do if the relief valve is dripping on my PurePro PLUG N’ GO PRO-41ZPG?
    • G
      gonzalezcassandraAug 7, 2025
If the relief valve on your PurePro Water Heater is dripping or opening, several issues could be the cause: It might be due to the absence of a thermal expansion tank, so install the proper one. The thermal expansion tank might be set improperly; ensure the precharge air pressure matches the static water pressure. High city pressure could also be the problem; install a Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) if the city pressure exceeds 80psi. System over temperature may be the cause, so determine the reason for the over temperature condition and correct the problem. Lastly, the relief valve itself might be faulty, so replace it if necessary.

Why is the water from my PurePro PLUG N’ GO PRO-41ZPG Water Heater too hot?
    • K
      Kevin RangelAug 11, 2025
If the water from your PurePro Water Heater is too hot, here are some potential reasons: Improper plumbing could be the cause; if the Boiler Return is plumbed to the suction-side of a heating circulator, overheating will occur when the home's heat is on, so fix the plumbing. The temperature might be set too high; reduce the temperature setting. The temperature sensor might not be fully inserted; re-insert it. A stuck zone valve or flow check valve could also be the issue; repair or replace them as needed.

How to stop noise from PurePro PLUG N’ GO PRO-41ZPG?
    • B
      Brad BarnettAug 16, 2025
If your PurePro Water Heater is making noise, consider the following: It could be due to air in the boiler loop, so purge the boiler loop and check the air elimination equipment. A faulty circulator pump could also be the cause; repair or replace the pump. Thermal expansion might be the issue; ensure the proper thermal expansion tank is installed and adjusted properly. Note that some noise is normal during the initial fill; a creaking or hissing sound is typical when first pressurized, but it should stop after pressurizing. Always check for leaks.

Why is the water from my PurePro Water Heater discolored?
    • P
      Patrick MooreAug 20, 2025
If you notice discolored water from your PurePro Water Heater at the faucet, it could be due to: Poor water quality; have the water tested for contaminants. Typical problems are: Blue/green color indicates copper discoloration due to low pH, Black staining/sulfur odor suggests hydrogen sulfide, White deposits indicate hard water, Red staining suggests high iron levels. Sediment or suspended particles may also be the reason; install a sediment filter and purge the unit more often to avoid future problems.

What to do if PurePro PLUG N’ GO PRO-41ZPG Water Heater boiler will not operate?
    • C
      Christine AtkinsAug 25, 2025
If the boiler doesn't operate when you call for hot water from your PurePro Water Heater, it might be due to improper or loose wiring; check the connections against the wiring diagrams in this manual. The boiler high limit might have been reached; note that the boiler will periodically cycle on and off during operation. There could also be a problem with the boiler system itself; have the boiler diagnosed for proper operation.

Why is my PurePro PLUG N’ GO PRO-41ZPG Water Heater producing insufficient hot water?
    • J
      Jeremy HawkinsNov 2, 2025
If your PurePro Water Heater isn't providing enough hot water, consider these potential causes: The demand might exceed the unit's capacity, so check the sizing based on your household size and boiler output. The temperature setting could be too low; try increasing the temperature setpoint. The boiler might lack sufficient output; wire it for priority, and if the problem persists, add storage or increase the tank size. A fouled heat exchanger could also be to blame; check the Boiler Supply/Boiler Return during a cold startup and clean the heat exchanger if the difference is less than 20F, installing water treatment equipment to prevent recurrence. Finally, insufficient heat exchanger flow could be the issue; check for undersized or faulty circulators or zone valves, ensure all shutoff valv...
