The PurSteam Therma Pro 211 is a versatile cleaning appliance that functions primarily as a steam mop for hard floors and carpets, and can be converted into a handheld steamer for various other cleaning tasks. It utilizes the power of steam to clean and sanitize, making it suitable for homes with children and pets. The device aims to simplify daily cleaning routines by offering an effective and chemical-free cleaning solution.
Important Technical Specifications:
- Model: Therma Pro 211
- Rated Voltage: 120 V
- Rated Frequency: 60 Hz
- Output Power: 1550 W
- Capacity: 12.8 fl oz / 380 ml (water tank)

Usage Features:
The steam mop is designed for ease of assembly and use.
- Assembly: The mop head slides onto the steam mop base and locks into place. A microfiber cloth is attached to the mop head using Velcro. For carpet cleaning, a carpet glider can be placed over the microfiber cloth.
- Water Filling: The water tank, with a capacity of 12.8 fl oz (380 ml), is filled using a provided funnel and measuring cup. Distilled or demineralized water is recommended to prolong the life of the appliance, especially in hard water areas. It is crucial not to add de-scaling, aromatic, alcoholic, or detergent products to the water tank, as this can damage the unit and void the warranty.
- Operation: After plugging into an electrical outlet and switching on, the steam mop preheats in approximately 30 seconds. The steam runs continuously until the unit is turned off or the water runs out. A steam regulator allows adjustment between maximum and minimum steam settings.
- Handheld Steamer Conversion: The device can be easily converted into a handheld steamer by pressing the Handheld Steamer Release button. Various detachable accessories can then be attached to the steamer jet or steamer attachment for targeted cleaning.
- Folding Handle: The handle can be folded for compact storage by pressing the Collapsible Handle Release button.
- Safety Precautions:
- Always use caution due to the very hot steam emitted.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended while connected to the power supply.
- Keep the appliance and cord out of reach of children.
- Do not direct steam at people, animals, electrical appliances, or electrical outlets.
- Avoid using on leather, wax-polished furniture or floors, synthetic fabrics, velvet, or other delicate, steam-sensitive materials. Test on an isolated surface area first.
- Wear suitable shoes when using the appliance and changing accessories.
- Never force the steam mop base onto the mop head during assembly.
- If the water tank runs out, turn off the steam mop immediately and refill.
- Ensure the device is disconnected from the outlet before cleaning or maintenance.
- Do not leave the steam mop standing upright on a floor for more than 5 seconds while on, as this may cause residue buildup.
Maintenance Features:
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of the steam mop.
- Post-Use Cleaning: After each use, ensure the appliance is unplugged and cooled down. Drain any remaining water from the base.
- Accessory Cleaning: Clean accessories in warm, soapy water and allow them to air dry.
- Microfiber Cloths: The microfiber cloths are machine washable in warm water with a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners and bleach. Air dry only.
- Storage: Remove and empty the water tank. Clean the outer surface with a dry cloth. Wash the cleaning pad. Store the appliance in a dry area out of reach of children. Wrap the cord around the cord hooks when storing or carrying.
- Hard Water Areas: In areas with hard water, using distilled or demineralized water is recommended to prevent limescale buildup and improve the Steam Mop's longevity.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides solutions for common issues such as reduced or no steam (empty water tank, blocked nozzle, button not pressed, control knob set to MIN) and the unit not turning on (no power, not plugged in, blown fuse, mop base not properly attached).
